Jim entered the investment industry after spending time with a Small Business lobbying organization as a District Manager. Working with Small business owners he saw continuously the difficulty they were having with financial planning, taxation, and eventually their estate planning. In 1977 he graduated as a Registered Representative with his Securities License.
Since then he has appeared on both Radio and Television with his own shows discussing and advising the various ways people can establish for themselves reliable income in retirement and estate planning.
Jim was President of a large Securities firm with offices across Canada. In his 36+ years in the industry he has completed numerous courses and added to his repertoire as the needs of the clients have changed. In 2000 Jim completed his Life Insurance Level 2 Licensing and has incorporated this into his practice as part of the Estate Planning/Legacy strategies.
Jim was the lead sponsor of the Easter Seals Regatta at the Dalhousie Yacht Club for 5 years. Jim was Regional Director for Niagara South Air Cadet League of Ontario, with responsibilities for those 9 squadrons. Jim is now a Gliding Center Director for Ontario South with the Air Cadet League of Ontario, responsible for Niagara South area.
Jim is also on the committee with the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association Local Chapter at Niagara Central Airport. In 2008 he was responsible in bringing the Canadian Airforce Flying Team, the "Snowbirds" to Niagara Central Airport for the first time. Jim is a member of the 434 Niagara Peninsula Wing, Royal Canadian Airforce and a member of the Ontario Provincial Committee, Air Cadet League of Canada.
